After the success of the first Golf GTI, Volkswagen launched the Golf GTI II in 1984.
More spacious, heavier, but also sportier than the first generation, it started with an 8-valve engine producing 112 hp, then received more powerful versions.
In 1990, the Golf GTI G60 reached 160 hp thanks to a supercharger.
