The Ford Escort Cosworth was developed in 1991 as a homologation model for the Group A World Rally Championship. Based on the Sierra Cosworth, the vehicle was built in two versions: the first 2500 units were equipped with a large Garrett turbocharger and a water-cooled intercooler, just like the motorsport versions. In order to make the vehicle more suitable for everyday use, the Escort Cosworth was fitted with a smaller turbocharger from the end of 1994. This second generation was also available without the large rear wing, which most customers ordered nevertheless.
The Norev model owes its perfect proportions to CAD data created from a 3D-scanned prototype. Our strictly limited-edition webshop model stands out not only for its Petrol Blue Metallic paintwork but also for its twin headlights – a feature often retrofitted to the original models which were inspired by successful rally cars.

Das Modell ist schön gemacht aber die Farbe ist NICHT Imperial-Blau, sondern vermutlich Petrol- Blau. Leider wurde mein Feedback dazu nicht verstanden.

Bella versione stradale di una delle più famose auto da rally degli anni ‘90. Molto piacevole il colore blu scuro e alcuni particolari come i fari anteriori. Peccato solo che il modello non sia apribile.
Hi. I am very upset with the quality and finished of this model.I own a lot of Norev´s modells (more than 50 examplaires) and this is the worst with difference. In the pictures looks as good as usual. But whan you received it and see for real, is even worst that Solido (wich is doing very but very good models now, at a wonderful price). The tables have turned. Big deception.
