Mercedes-Benz 350 SEL 1979 Hansa Blue 1:18

Released in 1972, the series known internally as the W116 represented the pinnacle of automotive engineering. No competing model combined as many attributes as the S-Class did in the 1970s. In addition to its technical features, the large Mercedes also impressed with its elegant and sporty low body.

The 350 SEL was one of the most frequently ordered engines in the Mercedes series. Hansablau (code 940) was one of the more restrained colours of the time, and in combination with the black interior, the model on which our model is based was probably intended to remain rather inconspicuous.
