The Carrera RS 2.7 is considered the epitome of lightweight design in road vehicles. Originally developed as a homologation model for motorsport, it was the first production car to feature both front and rear spoilers. Particularly striking is its light yellow paintwork with black stripes, which emphasizes the car’s sporty character. Through targeted weight reduction, an optimized chassis, and an upgraded engine, the RS 2.7 became the fastest production car of its time—thanks in part to its iconic "ducktail" spoiler. Although only 500 units were initially planned, demand far exceeded expectations. In the end, 1,580 cars were built, 1,308 of which were the Touring version we faithfully replicate in 1:12 scale.
