Right from the start, Ford offered its successful Mustang not only as a coupé but also as a convertible. Its attractive appearance did not suffer as a result – quite the contrary. The American men’s magazine Playboy shared this view and presented the 1964 Playmate of the Year with a convertible painted pink and featuring a light-coloured interior – as well as $100,000 in cash.

Playmate Pink and a light, beige interior – the Norev model pays homage to the famous Mustang that was to mark the beginning of a long tradition. Following 19-year-old Donna Marie, the magazine’s first winner, Playmate Marilyn Cole, for example, received a pink Volvo P1800 ES, which Norev has also produced as a (sold-out) special edition model.
