Developed to allow Renault to compete in rallying, the Renault 5 Turbo was unveiled at the Brussels Motor Show in 1980. Its production began the same year with the 200 units required for Group 4 homologation. A true mid-engine sports car, the R5 Turbo entered competition in 1981 and immediately made a strong impression by winning the Monte Carlo Rally with Jean Ragnotti at the wheel.
This black Renault 5 Turbo miniature faithfully reproduces this iconic model. The difference in tone between the bodywork and the bumpers is clearly visible, a characteristic detail of the original model’s color-integrated bumpers.
