Toyota Celica GT4 (N°2) Sainz Winner Monte-Carlo 1991 1:18

The special rally edition was named RC in Japan, Group A Rally in Australia and Carlos Sainz in Europe (in honour of the famous driver), and its production run was limited to 5,000 units.

The improvements made to this version by engineers Daniel Culot and test driver Renaud Vereydt are :

- A different intercooler (air/water instead of air/air), requested by Toyota Team Europe for the WRC version.
- A different bonnet.
- An ECU with more aggressive settings.
- A lighter bumper.
- castrol’ and “repsol” kits.

A four-wheel drive-turbo model was also homologated for rallying: the Celica 4WD (ST 185). Thanks to Ove Andersson's TTE, it brought the brand arguably its greatest rally victories.

Final tally: 12 titles.
