The fifth generation of the Mercedes-Benz SL series (internal designation R 230), launched in 2001, successfully continued the tradition of the large Mercedes roadster. This was also thanks to the unique combination of sportiness, elegance and technical innovation that has always characterised the SL.
To emphasise the flowing lines of the original, we opted for a slightly golden-hued Travertine Beige – combined with an elegant light brown for the interior.

The model is overall beautiful. But it has flaws: oversized interior door handles, uneven and large gaps between panels, the left door doesn't close fully, the retractable hardtop has a huge gap in the front, the luggage and rear storage compartments aren't faithfully reproduced (too large compartments, straight walls and no luggage straps). Furthermore, the brake discs aren't perforated/vented. Everything else seems to be reproduced very nicely. Despite all these flaws, for this price, you get a really good and attractive R230 model. I recommend it.
