Oldsmobile Toronado 1966 1:43 - n°276
The Citroen DS19 was first tooled by Corgi at the beginning of 1957 (as Corgi 210) and is notable for being the first ever non-British car in the Corgi range. It was updated in 1960, as Corgi 210S, given a moulded interior, a steering wheel and ‘Glidamatic’ suspension. Five years later it was revived yet again, this time in a topical Monte Carlo livery. Available on its own or as part of the ‘GS 38’ gift set – together with a Mini Cooper and a Rover 2000 – it was produced for just one year, from 1965 to 1966. The Monte Carlo Rally version was given a pale blue body and a white roof, whereas the earlier Corgi 210S, which had identical tooling, came in red. Both featured the same yellow interior.
