The Opel Omega A was a road-going saloon produced between 1986 and 1993. In 1990, in order to enter the DTM, the German brand had to homologate its Omega with a road version of the model used in this championship. This is how Irmscher came up with the Omega Evo 500. The German tuner offered a radical version of the Omega 3000, with a spoiler, special body kit, sports interior, 18’ wheels and a redesigned 3-cylinder engine developing 230bhp! In all, only 500 examples (the minimum required for homologation) were produced.
