Con-Ferr Dune Buggy 1968 Green Jet car 1:43
The beach buggy is a type of vehicle invented by californian engineer and surfer Bruce Meyers. He wanted a lightweight model that people could take to the beach. He developed a chassis with a fiberglass body, then added a VW Beetle engine to it. The buggy craze is now on with that Meyers Manx model. Given the greatness of the idea and the fact that his kits were expensive, other people started to copy his model.
Our miniature is based on the unique version that Con-Ferr developed at Steve McQueen's request for the film The Thomas Crown Affair. In a radiant green color, it features wide tires, in-body headlights, a wrap-around windshield and a reproduction of the "big" Chevrolet Corvair engine. The model is equipped with suspension, as well.
