The second edition of the VW Golf was built over 6.3 million times between August 1983 and December 1992. It continued the technical concept of its predecessor, grew in terms of exterior dimensions and performance and was able to seamlessly build on the sales success of its predecessor.
VW produced countless special models of the second generation Golf - including the Memphis, which was marketed as a sporty alternative for the 1988 model year. In addition to black, white, blue and red, silver grey metallic, the colour of our model, was also available for an extra charge.
