Lamborghini Countach LP5000 Quattrovalvole Yellow 1:18

€216.67

The Lamborghini Countach was created as a reaction to the Lamborghini Jarama (1966), which engineer Paolo Stanzani considered too wise for Lamborghini. Paolo Stanzani then asked Marcello Gandini, Bertone's emblematic chief designer, to design the most extravagant and futuristic car possible at the time.

‘Countach’, which means “fabulous” in Piedmontese slang, was the expression of admiration dropped by the Turin-based industrialist Bertone at the sight of the car.

Along with its rival, the Ferrari BB of ‘73, it was the most successful and emblematic production sports car of the “70s, followed by the ”80s with its rivals, the Ferrari 288 GTO and Ferrari Testarossa of “84, then the Ferrari F40 of ”87, and finally the Lamborghini Diablo which succeeded it in ’90.
