The Lamborghini Urraco is a four-seater coupé designed by Marcello Gandini for coachbuilder Bertone. Engineer Paolo Stanzani considered the Urraco to be the most innovative Lamborghini ever designed under his responsibility.
The Urraco would be produced in four models: P250, P250 Tipo 111, P200 and P300. Urraco' refers to a “small bull” in Spanish bullfighting, while the “P” designation, which stands for “Posteriore” (rear position), is followed by the displacement of the V8 engine.
They all feature a transversely-mounted V8 engine. The gearbox is mounted on the left-hand side of the engine, in line with the block, has five gears and is coupled to a Lamborghini differential.
